FOOD FOR THOUGHT PRESENTATION

SPEAKER BIO

I'm Rick Rinehart — a 10-year Air Force veteran, retirement advisor, and entrepreneur with more than 40 years of business experience. I'm a husband, father of seven, grandfather of twenty, and great-grandfather of four. I'm also 69 years old, on Medicare myself, and my wife is on Medicare and disability — which means the resources I bring to this luncheon aren't ones I discovered in a training manual. They're ones I've used at my own kitchen table.

I founded Rinehart Retirement Advisors (RinehartRetirementAdvisors.com) to help individuals and families navigate the financial complexities of retirement — Medicare, fixed income planning, and everything in between. After four decades in business, I've found that the advisors and caregivers who serve the senior community are often the most important link between a senior and the resources that can genuinely improve their quality of life. That's exactly the audience I'm hoping to connect with today.

I became a broker for SmartSaveMeds (SmartSaveMeds.com) after searching for a solution for my wife's migraine medications, which weren't covered by our insurance formulary. SmartSaveMeds connects Medicare seniors with manufacturer assistance programs that can provide brand-name medications at little or no cost — with dedicated agents handling the paperwork and coordination. For the professionals in this room, it's a resource worth knowing about. The seniors you work with are often leaving significant savings on the table simply because they don't know these programs exist.

I also built Smart Kitchen (smart-kitchen-opal.vercel.app), an AI-powered meal planning app designed with seniors in mind. It started as a personal solution — I took over cooking for my wife during a health challenge and needed a better system. It grew into a full application that helps families manage kitchen inventory, generate weekly meal plans, handle medical dietary requirements, and simplify grocery shopping. Senior Mode, simple navigation, and a $2.99/month Solo tier make it accessible to the clients the people in this room serve every day.

I'm presenting both SmartSaveMeds and Smart Kitchen at this luncheon because I believe the professionals who work closest with seniors are the most effective channel for getting practical tools into the hands of the people who need them most.
